CAPE CANAVERAL – The Artemis I launch is scrubbed.

This is the second time the launch was delayed. A previous liftoff attempt Monday was halted by a bad engine sensor and leaking fuel. It was supposed to take off Saturday afternoon, but there was a fueling issue with the moon rocket.

Officials says a leak reoccurred Saturday morning when the flow of liquid hydrogen was increased into the core stage. NASA engineers were working to seat the seal. Attempts to address the area of the leak were unsuccessful. Engineers are continuing to gather additional data.

The leak was detected at 7:15 Saturday morning, and the announcement of the scrub was made at 11:17 a.m Eastern.

NASA’s next opportunity to launch could possibly be on Monday.
