SARASOTA – This story has a happy ending! After losing her bird in late January, the owner, Tracy Zito and Tequila are finally reunited!
They were separated after Sarasota County Animal Services gave Tequila up for adoption, early February.
Through Zito’s GoFundMe page, the Suncoast contributed about $2000.
Wednesday, Zito’s attorney sent a final offer of $2,000.
Soon after, the adopters chose to take the money and run.
Zito promises to bring Tequila back to visit the adopters.
Zito says she is grateful for social media support and the Suncoast helping to get her bird home.
