NORTH PORT (SNN TV) – A Disaster Recovery Center is now open in North Port.
The center is located at the Shannon Staub Public Library at 4675 Career Lane near the Toledo Blade Boulevard exit off of I-75.
The center has information from FEMA, state agencies, and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Survivors can get help applying for federal assistance and learning about the appeals process. The center is accessible to people with disabilities — it has assistive technology, video remote interpreting, and in-person sign language.
You can apply for FEMA aid in three ways: as disasterassistance.gov, the FEMA mobile app, or calling 1-800-621-3362 any day from 7 a.m to 11 p.m.
