CHARLOTTE COUNTY (SNN TV) – Traveling programs in Charlotte County are traveling to a park near you.
Charlotte County Libraries begins its “traveling library” program Sunday. It’ll be at Bayshore Park December 11, McGuire Park December 14, Centennial Park Recreation Center December 17, and Deep Creek Park on December 18. These will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Also, the recreation team’s “REC2U” van is coming to community parks on weekends from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Their first program was today (12/10) at Centennial Park. Their next is Rotonda Community Park on December 11. They’ll be at Port Charlotte Beach on December 17th, and Deep Creek Park on December 18th.
Also, more Charlotte County parks and amenities reopen. The baseball fields at Centennial Park are back, but there is no field 6 and no lights.
The Deep Creek restroom, the Environmental Center at Cedar Point Environmental Park, and the G.C. Herring RC Track have also reopened.
Parking fees will be reinstituted on January 1st, 2023.
