TAMPA, FL (SNN-TV) – Former Sarasota Sailors star and USF running back Brian Battie is expected to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
BullsInsider.com and Bulls247 both confirm that Battie will leave Tampa with at least one year of eligibility remaining, with a possible second if he were to use the COVID-19 ‘bonus season’ as provided by the NCAA.
Battie exits the USF program as just the second player in program history to be named a two-time All-American.
In 2021, he joined George Selvie as the second NCAA Consensus All-American in program history. He earned first team All-America honors as a kick returner from Walter Camp, FWAA, Phil Steele, Action Network, Bleacher Report and Pro Football Network.
