PUNTA GORDA (SNN TV) – Charlotte County Libraries and History is presenting a large panel discussion called “After The Storm — Hurricane Survival” at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Public Library.
Speakers include representatives from Charlotte County Emergency Management, licensed general contractors in Charlotte County, Punta Gorda’s own arborist, mental health care professionals from Project Hope, and a Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission officer.
The panel will discuss weathering a storm’s aftermath. You’ll learn from experiences during Hurricane Ian and talk with other homeowners and residents who lived through hurricanes. There will be a Q&A during the event.
The panel discussion is this Thursday, June 22, from 5:30-7 p.m. The library is at 401 Shreve Street in Punta Gorda, and seating will be first-come first-serve. To RSVP on Facebook, click here.
And on that note, “Third Wednesday Coffee” this Wednesday will be “Hurricane Season is Upon Us.” The Director of Charlotte County Emergency Services will be there to speak to those attending. The event is sponsored by Charlotte State Bank & Trust and is taking place as the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center in Punta Gorda.
