SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – Cardinal Mooney’s Zy’marion Lang had his pick Sunday night when choosing between USF, Pittsburgh, Kansas State and South Carolina.

The No. 78 ranked wide receiver in the 2024 class is headed to the SEC committing to the University of South Carolina. Lang is the No. 76 player in the state of Florida. He caught 28 passes for 470 yards and five touchdowns last season for Palmetto. He is the 14th commitment in the Gamecocks’ 2024 class and the second wide receiver commitment.

Lang is expected to come in as a wide receiver to start his career and will get a look at defensive back if needed. Lang has a connection to the South Carolina program, and that is that former Gamecock wide receiver Ace Sanders. The former Manatee High standout trains Lang in the off-season.
