SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN TV) – Florida Studio Theatre announced its lineup for the Children’s Theatre Series.

The theatre announced in a press release that the four-show lineup begins in September. It’ll kick off September 17 with The Velveteen Rabbit by Patrick Flynn. The play follows a young child who gets a toy rabbit as a gift and is disappointed at first, but the pair adventures together and begin to grow and change.

Starting November 25 is FST’s seven year presenting Deck the Halls created by Sarah Durham and Caroline Saldivar with musical arrangements by Jim Prosse. Deck the Halls is an interactive family show highlighting what makes Christmas and Hanukkah special in Sarasota.

In January, FST presents a new take on an old story in Red Riding Hood. Starting in March, the series closes with The Power of Peanut Butter & Other Winning Plays.

Additional performance dates may be added in the future. Here are all the dates announced so far:

  • The Velveteen Rabbit – A Toy Story : September 17 and 23 as well as October 1, 7, and 15.
  • Deck the Halls: November 25 and 26 as well as December 2, 3, 10, 16, and 24.
  • Red Riding Hood January 7, 13, 21, and 27 as well as February 4.
  • The Power of Peanut Butter & Other Winning Plays: March 30 as well as April 7, 14, 20, and 28.
