MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – A 24-year-old man was killed in a car crash in Manatee County, around 1:48 a.m. on Saturday.
Florida Highway Patrol said the man drove his sedan north on I-75 and was using the exit ramp to get onto State Road 64.
When he failed to negotiate a right turn, he drove into a retention pond northeast of the exit ramp.
The man’s car submerged, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
