SARASOTA – A local downtown Sarasota boutique donates shoes to an organization, giving people in need, a little extra pep in their step.  T. Georgiano’s Boutique fully steps in, to the season of giving.

Owner of T. Georgiano’s Boutique, Tatyana Stewart, celebrates 15 years of being in business by giving more than 300 pairs of brand new shoes and clothes to Second Chance – Last Opportunity. These shoes are worth more than 30 thousand dollars.

Stewart is excited to give knowing this organization is in serious need for resources such as these.

“I know personally as a woman, putting on a pair of shoes changes my whole entire feeling of confidence,” Tatyana Stewart said. “And, these women that are at rock bottom needing this level of confidence to be instilled in them, there’s no better way.”

Founder of Second Chance Last Opportunity, Dr. April Glasco, says, for these ladies who need shoes, it’s going to make a big difference. The women will be able to walk into grocery stores, into jobs, into goodwill on the right foot with appropriate shoes.

“It’s a lot that will be done by these individuals getting these shoes that want to do better for themselves,” Dr. April Glasco said. “Again, a lot of them didn’t have the appropriate shoes to go where they wanted to go and where they needed to go.”

Second Chance – Last Opportunity is an organization providing life management skills for individuals to become more self-sufficient offering a gateway of hope.

“It’s all about life skills and building them up where they have been torn down,” Dr. Glasco said. “So giving them a second chance because we know, everyone deserves a second chance.”

They will be giving out these shoes at their Hope for the Holiday event, Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 am. If you’re interested in attending the event and are in need of shoes, pre-register online. For more information, you can 941-360-8660 or visit their website.
