SARASOTA – The Department of Health in Sarasota County announces a new drive-thru testing site opening in the area.
Beginning Friday from 8 a.m. to noon at Twin Lakes Park, located at 6700 Clark Road in Sarasota, patients who meet current CDC testing guidance will be able to be tested from their cars.
However, not just anyone can drive up to the testing site you need to have been referred by a physician. The drive -thru testing site is by appointment only from your doctor before arriving to the site. The physician’s office will contact Florida DOH in Sarasota who will then contact the individual with an appointment day and time.
To make an appointment, physicians should call 941-861-2883. No walk up will be allowed.
The number of cases in Florida have now surpasses 2,000 cases. With Manatee County reporting 24 cases, Sarasota County with 34, and Charlotte County only reporting three cases.
