MANATEE COUNTY – Meals on Wheels of Manatee County will be distributing fresh produce at three locations starting tomorrow.  This will be the first of several distributions on the third Thursday of every month until May. The produce includes bananas, lettuce, carrots. tomatoes and onions. The fresh produce will be distributed drive-thru style to adhere safe social distancing. 

“The event is open to anyone, quantities are limited so we hope that families that are in need of the produce will get out to the locations early and pick theirs up. But the bags are beautiful, the produce looks great, it’s fresh and were just really excited to get it into the hands of families that need it,” said Vice President of Development for Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, Amy Towery. 

Locations: 

– Visible Men Academy:  921 63rd Ave. East, Bradenton 34203 from 8:00am – 10:00 am

– Sozo Missions: 3124 17th Street East, Bradenton 34208 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am

– Increasing Joy Ministries: 2515 37th Street East, Palmetto, FL 34221 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
