MANATEE COUNTY – The county-wide movement mask up Manatee looks to distribute more than 11 thousand face masks starting this Friday.
The Manatee County Health Department and county school superintendent plan to deliver masks to the 15 Title I schools in the county starting this Friday at 9 a.m. at Tillman Elementary School.
Superintendent Cynthia Saunders in a statement to SNN said “the timing of these deliveries is very important because it will help us reinforce the message to our students and employees of ‘don’t let your guard down!”
According to a county health department employee, Manatee County government purchased 50,000 masks using cares act funding.
