BRADENTON BEACH – If you have a sweet tooth, you are just in luck…a Suncoast business is selling everything fudge.

“I’d love to open up more shops, I have three kids, I can have three shops,” said Owner of the Fudge Factory, Benjamin Kaminecki.

For the past four years, business for the fudge factory has thrived ON Siesta Key, which is why owner, Benjamin Kaminecki decided it was time to expand across the Suncoast.

“I live downtown, so I was trying to find something between downtown and siesta key, so I said Bradenton beach, I’d be perfect location,” said Kaminecki.

The new location, which has only been open since May 1st, hasn’t slowed down, despite the pandemic.

“COVID has not affected us, thank God, were very blessed very lucky, you have to understand, when people are depressed, they want more sweets,” said Kaminecki.

If you’re wondering what it takes to cover everything in fudge, let me tell you, it’s quite the process…

“We pour the fudge, then let it cool down, and after the cooling process we start to beat it up and pick it up and raise it, slap it, and then we start pushing it together and scooping it with a spatula, then it starts to form and then we start to put in different flavors and stuff to make it complete,” said son of the owner of the Fudge Factory, Steven Kaminecki.

With that being said, everything at the fudge factory is made from scratch

“We have about 30 different flavors of fudge, we have about 40 flavors of ice cream, we also have dippin dots, we have all different kinds of chocolates, turtles, we have truffles, we have a lot of different stuff you won’t see anywhere else,” said Kaminecki.

The best part? The family business is hyperlocal

“We’re not a franchise, so you are supporting locals, because everything you buy, we buy from locals to support the locals,” said Kaminecki.

Kamenecki says his son, will one day take over the family business.

“That’d be awesome, I can’t wait,” said Steven Kaminecki.
