FORT LAUDERDALE (SNN-TV) – From Venice to Fort Lauderdale, from Week 1 to the 8A State Finals, the Indians football season has been dominance personified. The 14-1 season culminated yesterday at DRV PNK Stadium in the sweetest of fashions.

Senior QB Ryan Browne threw four touchdown passes to lead the Venice Indians to a 35-7 victory over the Apopka Blue Darters in the Class 8A Florida high school football state championship on Saturday.

It’s the third Florida high school football state title for Venice, and their first under the 8A classification.

Alongside Browne, Senior running back DJ Escort also added 20 carries for 111 yards on the ground in the win.
